Bollywood and Beaches - Family adventure in India

Day 1: We rendezvous at the group hotel in Mumbai. KE Land Only package services begin with a group airport transfer. After settling in we will have a briefing on the week ahead from our guide who will also give suggestions on the different places to eat in the city. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 2: This morning we go down to the Gateway of India, the iconic arch built by the British to commemorate the 1911 visit of King George V. Here we can catch a ferry for the 1 hour journey out to Elephanta Isle to explore ancient carved cave temples and climb to the top of Cannon Hill. Retuning to Mumbai the rest of the afternoon is free to wander around Colaba Market. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 3: No trip to Mumbai would be complete with a cricket match! It is also easy to find some willing locals to play with and a local cricket playing area. Watch out they are very good! In the afternoon we immerse ourselves in the world of Bollywood, visiting one of the main studios before settling down to watch a Bollywood movie. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 4: We have a final day of sightseeing in Mumbai including a visit to the incredible Dobhi Ghat where an entire city's laundry is done by hand. We also visit Mahatma Ghandi's house and the 19th century Hanging Gardens. This evening we transfer to Victoria Terminus to board a sleeper train bound for Goa.
Day 5: Arriving in Goa we transfer to our resort hotel and after settling in, the rest of the day is free to enjoy the beach and the warm waters of the Arabian Sea. Overnight at the group hotel in Goa.
Day 6: In the morning we go out on a boat to spot dolphins who play in the waters around the Goan coast. Afterwards we will visit a spice plantation for an entertaining and educational tour. We take our lunch here prepared with local grown spices and in the afternoon enjoy an Elephant ride. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 7: We have a full day of sightseeing in this friendly and smallest state of India. We visit Fort Aquada and its lighthouse, the capital of Panjim and the quaint and the grand old churches of this former Portuguese colony. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 8: A free day to enjoy the beach. As well as swimming, snorkelling and ball games there are opportunities to book additional activities such as wind surfing or kayaking. This evening we have the chance to learn how to cook traditional Goan food with expert chefs and with them we will prepare our own Goan 'Farewell' dinner. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 9: We transfer to Goa International airport where KE Land Only package services end.
