Nathan & Holly felt very much part of the pre-trip planning when they saw their names included in e-mail correspondence, but in particular when they received the parcel containing the ir kitbags addressed to them! Something small, but it made a big impact for a family adventure. We could not have wanted a better trip leader! Kamal is professional, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Whilst not essential, the fact that he too is a Dad means he had an awareness of all 4 children's individual needs/interests/times when they found certain aspects more challenging etc. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Kamal and the other Nepali team members - everyone gained an understanding and appreciation of each others countries and cultures, something which Nathan & Holly are enjoying sharing with their friends. The team went above and beyond themselves on Christmas day festooning the lodge with Christmas decorations which they had unbeknown to us brought up to Khyumjumba with them, along with small gifts and festive drinks. Truly an evening never to be forgotten by us, them or the lodge owners!Having trekked in Nepal (pre kids!) without a guide or porters, I was a little apprehensive as to how it would work out, but as you can tell we were thoroughly impressed with our team and really enjoyed the unique opportunities and experiences we all shared. We certainly didn't expect that our kids would be playing hide and seek with a trip leader at 3900m!

The tour Guide, Kamal Bhandari, was excellent! He was humourful to the children and a very good guide to us. He organised a really wonderful Christmas.I really enjoyed the views of all the mountains and being able to show Nepal to the children. The combination of walking and playing was perfect.

Kamal was an excellent guide and particularly popular with our children. We most enjoyed the wonderful views, the Nepali crew, and the excellent lodges and hotels Shanker in Kathmandu and the Yak Hotel in Namche.
