Les Petits Caravanniers - Family Adventure Trek
The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. The packed weight of each family members trek bag during the trip should be no more than 15 kgs
You must bring the following items:
Hiking boots
Lightweight thermal or fleece glovesSocksTrekking trousers / pantsWaterproof over-trousers / rain-pantsUnderwearBaselayer shirts (short sleeve & long sleeve)
Shirts or T-shirts (wicking)
Fleece jacket or warm jumper Windproof/waterproof jacket
SunhatWarm hat (for chilly evenings)Eyewear - Sunglasses
Basic First Aid Kit - refer to trip dossier for detailsSun protection (including total bloc for lips, nose etc.)Water bottles 1 Litre / 1 quart (x2) 3 season sleeping bag* (4 season bag required for December departures)
Antibacterial handwash
Washbag and toiletries
Small towel
Small padlock (to lock your KE kit bag)
Daypack c.20 to 30 litres (depending on how much of the kids' stuff you need to carry)
Selection of dry bags (to keep trek bag contents dry)
Headtorch / headlamp with spare batteries

Sleeping bag liner Thermarest* (note that foam mattresses are provided)
Trainers / sneakers or sandals for camp
Spare laces

Notes
(1)We recommend you bring a cycle helmet for anyone intending to ride the camels. Please note that these animals can be unpredictable and difficult to control, and if you wish to ride, this is at your own risk.
