The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. The packed weight of each family member’s trek bag during the trip should be no more than 15 kgs

You must bring the following items:

Small padlock (to lock your KE kit bag)

Daypack c.20 to 30 litres (depending on how much of the kids' stuff you need to carry)

Selection of dry bags (to keep trek bag contents dry)

Headtorch / headlamp with spare batteries

Sleeping bag liner Thermarest* (note that foam mattresses are provided)

(1)We recommend you bring a cycle helmet for anyone intending to ride the camels. Please note that these animals can be unpredictable and difficult to control, and if you wish to ride, this is at your own risk.
