Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Marrakech where we are met by a KE representative. Complimentary transfer to group hotel. KE Land Only package services start with overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast, we drive to Tamsahlte via the Draa Valley. We meet the camels and crew and there may be time for a quick camel ride before dinner! Fixed camp.
Day 3: We trek with the camels through a volcanic landscape, ascending a descending a couple of low passes. There are views of desert and mountains, and the chance to see rock art. Camp near Ait Ouazzik.
Day 4: Visit the kasbah of Ait Ouazzik, then trek through a gorge to Imi n'Ouarg. Camp near the village of Amred.
Day 5: Camel trekking through the heart of the desert, across the dunes of Barghou, to camp at Foum Tizza.
Day 6: Cross the mountain of Saredrar searching for fossils as we go. We are now truly in a Saharan landscape - surrounded by mountains and dunes. Fixed camp with showers at the foot of the mountain.
Day 7: Return drive to Marrakech via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, and check in to the group hotel. Rest of the day is free. Another chance to visit the remarkable Djemaa el-Fna.
Day 8: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. Complimentary airport transfers are provided.
