Day 1: Rendezvous at the group's accommodation in Krakow. A group transfer is provided from Krakow Airport in the late morning. KE Land Only package services begin with a guided tour of the city's main sights. In the evening we go out for dinner in one of the excellent restaurants in the Old Town. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast we have a short transfer to Wieliczka where we visit the salt mine whose operation dates back to the 13th century! During the tour we will see the statues and entire chapel which has been carved from the rock salt by the miners. In the afternoon we take a bus for the 110km (3 hour) transfer to Zakopane in the Tatra mountains. Check in to our family friendly hotel.
Day 3: In the morning we have a walking tour of the very picturesque town of Zakopane. In the afternoon we take a cable car to the top of Butorowy Wierch (1160m) and walk for 2km along the range on easy trails to the Gubalowka funicular which takes us back down to Zakopane. Dinner in the hotel.
Day 4: A day of biking travelling through the longest valley in the Polish Tatras - the Chochowska Valley. Starting on quiet paved roads we go off-road with some straihtforward but intersesting riding beside the river as far as the Chochowska hut. After a break we return through the valley to Zakopane. Approximately 12km biking.
Day 5: A free day to enjoy Zakopane or to take an optional excursion. The guide will give suggestions and options include a hike to Morskie Oko lake below Poland's highest peak, a visit to the Bielanska Cave and a visit to the thrmal pools in Poprad. Overnight in Zakopane.
Day 6: This morning we have a short (3 hour) walk along the 'Bear Trail' from Kuznice walking just above the tree line in the Strazyska Valley below the peak Kasprowy Wierch. We can visit the monastery of the Albertines along the way before returning to Zakopane. The afternoon is free and after dinner we have a bonfire in the garden of our hotel.
Day 7: After breakfast we go by bus to the village Debno Podhalanskie which boasts the oldest wooden Gothic church in Poland. We then have a rafting trip, floating down the Dunajec River for 18km (2.5 hours) through the limestone canyons of the Pieniny Mountains. In the afternoon we take a bus back to Krakow where we check into our city hotel.
Day 8: After breakfast, there is a group transfer to Krakow Airport, where KE Land Only package services end.
