We return to Camp Ripan where we can relax, before sitting down to dinner in the restaurant.
Day 3: Today, a short transfer takes us to the husky farm, where we help our 'mushers' harness up the dogs. We then glide off on an undulating trail through a forested and snowy landscape. We stop at a Sami-style teepee for a hot drink and a snack, before returning to Camp Ripan. In the evening we have a magical snowshoe walk, looking out for the spectacular northern lights.
Day 4: After breakfast, we have a short drive to Jukkasjarvi and the world famous Icehotel. It is generally much colder here than in Kiruna. We can marvel at the amazing ice sculptures in the many designer rooms. Returning to Camp Ripan for lunch, we have some free time in the afternoon, with the chance to use the spa, visit the town or watch a presentation about the Sami people in the lounge.
Day 5: This morning we are provided with all equipment and given some basic lessons in cross-country skiing. We are then free to ski the picturesque prepared trails close to Camp Ripan. After lunch, the afternoon is free with the chance to use the spa, visit the town and its church or do some more skiing or snowshoeing. Dinner and final night at Camp Ripan.
