Tanzania - Big Five Safari
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Marangu. Airport transfers are provided. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: After breakfast we transfer to the Marangu Park Gate for a walk in the forest on the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. Afternoon visit to Chagga Village for a walk around the traditional houses. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 3: We drive to the Lake Manyara National Park in the Rift Valley and have an afternoon of game viewing - the park is home to elephants, baboons and tree-climbing lions. We stay overnight in a hotel on the escarpment.
Day 4: A morning spent in the vast Ngorongoro Crater, with the chance to see the amazing wildlife that inhabits the area. Today we are in with a chance to see the Big Five! Afternoon transfer to Seronera for our first night under canvas in the Serengeti.
Day 5: A full day of game viewing on the Serengeti. With the highest concentration of wildlife in the world, the Serengeti offers the best chance to spot all of the big game. Overnight Camp
Day 6: A second full day of game viewing in the Serengeti. Our exact itinerary will depend on the time of year. Accompanied by experienced guides and wildlife trackers we will follow the wildlife. Overnight Camp
Day 7: Transfer to Tarengire National Park, stopping en route at Olduvai Gorge to visit the museum. Tarengire National Park is home to 2000 elephants, where there are good viewing opportunities along the baobab-lined Tarangire River. Overnight in a safari lodge.
Day 8: Today we depart from Tarengire to head back to Arusha. KE group package services end after lunch with a complimentary transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
