Nationals of some EU countries, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa & Switzerland require visas. Visas must be obtained from the embassy of Vietnam in your home country prior to travel.
UK Passport Holders
As of 1 July 2015, British passport holders travelling for tourism or business will be able to enter Vietnam for up to 15 days without a visa.
Youll still need a visa to enter Vietnam for periods of 16 days and longer and if you wish to re-enter Vietnam within 30 days of your departure. Make sure you get the correct visa for the purpose and destination of your trip.
If you do require a visa the safest option is to get a visa from the Vietnamese Embassy before you travel. If you plan to leave Vietnam and re-enter from another country make sure you get a multiple visit visa.

Important note: The Vietnamese government advises that a Visa On Arrival service is offered at 4 Vietnamese international airports, including Hanoi and Saigon. We suggest that you DO NOTchoose to obtain your visa in this way. Many international airlines dont recognise the Visa On Arrival system for Vietnam, and we have experienced situations where clients have been denied boarding because they do not have a visa stamped in their passport.
