Cultural Highlights of Rajasthan

Day 1: We have a morning rendezvous with our guide at Delhi Airport. KE Land Only package services begin with the transfer from the airport at around 11 am. We drive south for 4 hours to the fabled city of Agra. After checking in at our hotel, we will visit the imposing Red Fort of Akbar, with its Pearl Mosque and other fine architecture. Dinner and overnight at our Agra hotel.
Day 2: We have an early start to see the sunrise over the majestic Taj Mahal, then return to our hotel for breakfast. We then drive via the deserted royal city of Fatehpur Sikri to the tiger reserve of Ranthambore. Overnight in a forest resort.
Day 3: Best known for its population of tigers, Ranthambore is deeply involved in India's 'Project Tiger' conservation scheme. We will have an early morning game drive in an open truck known as a 'canter'. In the afternoon, we will have a second game drive in the park. We spend a second night at our forest resort.
Day 4: Leaving Ranthambore, we drive to the small town of Bundi in the shadow of the Aravali Mountains. We have time to look around this charming town, with its step wells (known as baolis), numerous temples, monuments and fortresses. Overnight in Bundi.
Day 5: We have an easy morning, as we take the scenic drive to Udaipur, one of the highlights of Rajasthan, a city known both as the 'Venice of the East' and the 'City of Sunrise'. We overnight at a hotel in the city, with time for independent sightseeing in the evening.
Day 6: A day for exploring Udaipur, with morning visits to the City Palace and Jagdish Temple. Other highlights of this amazing city are the hotels beside Lake Pichola and on 2 of the lake's islands. The afternoon is free to explore the city on your own. In the evening a boat ride on Lake Pichola can be arranged at additional cost paid locally.
Day 7: En route to Jodhpur, we stop off to visit the 15th Century Jain Temple at Ranakpur, with its 29 halls and intricately carved pillars. Arriving at Jodhpur, we can't help but be impressed by its encircling wall and commanding fort.
Day 8: We have time in the morning to look around Jodhpur and to visit the Meherangarh Fort, from where the city's blue-painted houses present a super spectacle. After lunch, we drive to the pilgrimage town of Pushkar which each year holds a famous camel fair.
Day 9: Time for sightseeing in Pushkar which is built around a sacred lake, with lots of temples, including the only one in the world dedicated to the god Brahma. In the afternoon, we set off on the picturesque drive to Jaipur. Dinner and overnight at our Jaipur hotel.
Day 10: A full day to enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent sights of the 'Pink City'. After a photo stop at the Palace of the Winds, we fully explore the amazing Amer Fort. The City Palace and Jantar Mantar Observatory are other standout attractions. We will also try to include a visit to the colourful bazaars and the chance to see a Bollywood movie. We spend a second night at our Jaipur hotel.
Day 11: In the morning, we drive back to Delhi and check in at our central hotel. If there is time, we will have a short sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, visiting the Jama Masjid, Chandi Chowk, Red Fort and Raj Ghat. Dinner and overnight in Delhi.
Day 12: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. Complimentary airport transfers are provided.
