Italian Cross-Country Ski Weekend
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at approximately 6pm in the group's accommodation in Chamonix. KE group package services begin with the evening meal. The guides will give a briefing on the days ahead and answer any questions.
Day 2: This morning we will drive through the Mt Blanc tunnel to Courmayeur and Val Ferret. Introduction to cross country ski techniques and familiarisation with safety procedures. In the afternoon we enjoy skiing the beautiful groomed tracks in Val Ferret. Overnight in a local hotel where we enjoy dinner.
Day 3: Today we drive along the Aosta valley to the valley of Cogne, in the Gran Paradiso National Park. This area is where many national cross country ski competitions take place and we can explore the 45kms of trails. We return to our hotel in Val Ferret for dinner.
Day 4: Our final day's activity will be in Val Ferret where everyone has the option to try "skating", a different method of cross-country skiing. After lunch in Lavachey the afternoon can be spent skating or practising classic tecnhiques. At the end of the day we return to Chamonix to sample some 'apres-ski' in this vibrant Alpine town.
Day 5: Today is departure day. KE group package services end after breakfast.
