Across the Julian Alps to Triglav
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Bled. A single timed group airport transfer is provided from Ljubljana Airport to Bled. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Short drive to the Mencingarjev Hut in the Lower Bohinj Valley. Ascend from valley to ridge and trek via Crna Prst to the Zorko Jelincic Hut (1835m)
Day 3: A superb day of ridge walking. We trek first to Rodica and then Vogel (1922m) before descending to overnight at the Razor Planina Hut (1300m).
Day 4: Leaving the hut we cross the Skrbino pass (1891m) on rocky trails before descending to the Dom na Komni Hut (1525m), overlooking Lake Bohinj.
Day 5: Trek along the beautiful valley of the 'Triglav Lakes', past a series of 7 differently coloured lakes, to reach the Prehodavci Hut (2071m).
Day 6: The three peaked summit of Triglav dominates the skyline today as we climb via Hribarice and Dolic to reach the Kredarica Hut (2615m).
Day 7: Early morning ascent of Triglav (2864m) which involves some sections of via ferrata, before descending to Rudno Polje. Rendezvous with transport to group hotel in Bled.
Day 8: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast with an early afternoon single group transfer from Bled to Ljubljana Airport.
Altitude
This holiday involves going to moderately high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 2500 metres. Most people will have no difficulty with this level of altitude but before coming on the holiday, we recommend you read the advice on trekking at altitude.
