Mountain Bike Traverse of the Jura

Day 1: Meet at Geneva Airport for single timed transfer to Saint Hippolyte, a quiet riverside village, in the Pays de Montbeliard. You will meet your guide at the group accommodation, have a pre-ride briefing and have time to put your bikes together. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Riding through meadows, woodland and quiet roads to the village of Fessevillars, we join a superb trail which follows the Doubs River to Goumois, providing the perfect lunchstop! In the afternoon our rewarding climb has spectacular views overlooking the Gorges du Doubs. Ride Distance: 50km (31 miles) with 1720 metres of ascent and 1180 metres of descent.
Day 3: A rolling ride, leads us to a superb singletrack, as we being our ascent up to and along a manageable ridge, before weaving through local farmlands to begin our fun descent into La Perdrix, ready to sample the delicious local cuisine. Ride Distance: 53km (32 miles) with 1080 metres of ascent and 910 metres of descent.
Day 4: Today we cycle through the Val des Allies to the famous Metabief (host to World and European MTB championships) where we begin our climb to the highest point of our cycling holiday (Moran 1400m). Descending by way of singletrack, we finish this enjoyable day of riding at Boissaude. Ride distance: 65km (39 miles) with 1600 metres of ascent and 1400 metres of descent.
Day 5: After breakfast we ride forest trails, climbing towards open grassy meadows and wonderful views over Chaux Neuve and Foncine-le-Haut. Traversing around Mont Noir, we climb through the Foret du Risoux, before descending to Les Rousses for our overnight stay. Ride distance: 45km (27 miles) with 980 metres of ascent and 800 metres of descent.
Day 6: Enjoying an early morning climb out of Les Rousses, our hard work is rewarded with a fun descent to Premanon, as we approach the heart of the 'Parc Naturel Haut Jura'. Continuing our ride via Les Moussieres, we have great views, before arriving into La Pesse. Ride distance: 50km (33 miles) with 980 metres of ascent and 900 metres of descent.
Day 7: Our final day to complete this traverse begins with a steady climb to the Cret du Merle (1289m) and onwards through historic 'Borne au Lion' to enjoy last views across the Jura. We end with a 1000 metre descent to Lacrans. Ride distance: 50km (33 miles) with 1000 metres of ascent and 1500 metres of descent.
Day 8: After breakfast, we have a single timed transfer to Geneva Airport where KE Land Only package services end.
