The support crew were really outstandingly good. Food was excellent, well prepared, tasty and timely. The crew were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Sultan was a superb guide. Ivan and Pasha were excellent and knowledgeable drivers and engineers. Malika was a great cook, and the lads (Qeesha and Asul) were really enthusiastic.I most enjoyed: Tea in a yurt. Helibiking. The river road on the Kyrgyz side down to Karkara base camp. The sauna at Karkara after a long day. The view from Mingtur. The very fast 26km downhill run on the penultimate day. Our campsites. Malika's cooking. I could go on.

Overall I really enjoyed the trip. My only problem was ratings. I under rated the toughness of the ride and over rated my ability to do it!However, the hard days were were balanced by the sheer fun of the heli biking and the fantastic views when in the Tien Shan mountains. A great two weeks with a nice bunch of people looked after by an excellent ground crew in a spectacular part of the world What I most enjoyed? Heli biking. The views. Visiting the herders camps. The wild flowers. Getting to know vodka better.
