The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. The packed weight of your trek bag while trekking should be no more than 15 kgs./33 lbs.

You must bring the following items:

Waterproof hiking boots (for snowshoeing)

Warm ski socks

Regular socks

Trainers / sneakers or similar (for the hotel)

Trekking trousers/pants

Long johns (thermal underwear)

Underwear

Swimming shorts (for the hotel pool)

Thermal baselayer shirts (2 x long sleeve)

Fleece jacket(s) or warm jumper/pullovers

T-shirts

Lightweight windproof/waterproof jacket

Warm jacket e.g. down

Lightweight thermal gloves

Warmer gloves or mittens

Warm Hat

Balaclava

Sunhat

Sunglasses

Ski goggles

Daypack c.30 litres / 1800 cubic inches

Torch/flashlight with spare bulb and batteries

Sun protection (including for lips)

Water bottle and/or thermos flask

Washbag and toiletries

Basic First Aid Kit consisting of the following: Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment and re-hydration salts (Dioralite). Glucose tablets and multi-vitamin tablets are also a good idea.

The following items are optional:

Torch/flashlight with spare bulb and batteries

Trekking poles*

Special insulated snow boots*

Snowshoes*

Snow and wind-proof outer suit*

Antibacterial hand wash

Camera, media, batteries

Pen-knife (remember to put all sharp objects in hold baggage)

Small padlock (to lock the trek bag)

All specialist equipment required for the various activities on this trip are provided. These are marked * and include:

A thermal snow/wind proof outer suit, insulated snow boots, a waterproof kit bag for the husky safari, snowshoes and trekking pole.
