Arctic Wilderness Week Finland
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at Oulu Airport. A complimentary transfer to the group hotel is provided. KE group package services begin with the evening meal. Option for swimming and sauna in the hotel.
Day 2: After a introduction briefing we enjoy wintersports around the hotel. We cross-country ski in the morning, then after lunch we have a snowshoeing tour.
Day 3: Transfer to Finn-Jann Husky Farm where we meet our huskies. Introduction to husky driving learning how to handle the dogs and sleds. Return to hotel for sauna, swim and dinner.
Day 4: Start of 2 day husky trek. Lunch is taken around an open fire and we overnight in a cabin in the forest. There is the option to take part in icefishing.
Day 5: We complete the husky tour arriving at Finn-Jann farm in the afternoon. After the dogs have been settled in we transfer back to the hotel. Sauna and dinner.
Day 6: We have an exciting snowmobile tour through the wilderness, driving approx. 40 km with a coffee break around the open fire. If we are lucky we will see reindeer or tracks of snowhares. Return to the hotel for lunch, optional activities in the afternoon.
Day 7: Free day with optional extra activities including snowmobile touring, downhill skiing, visit to reindeer farm, ice fishing, snowshoeing and overnight in an igloo. Alternatively spend the day walking or relaxing in the hotel facilities.
Day 8: KE group package services end after breakfast. There is a complimentary transfer to Oulu Airport.
