Mont Blanc Classic Walks

I thoroughly enjoyed the walking, very different from the Lakes, with some superb views. It was a great introduction and gave me confidence to consider the Best of the Tour of Mont Blanc another year, and possibly even other venues. The night in the mountain refuge was a first for many of us, but with preplanning was enjoyable and amusing - you need to be tolerant of snoring! And the head torches came into their own. I was a newcomer to walking / trekking in the Alps and found it a perfect introduction, as indicated in the trip's dossier. The holiday was very well organised and seemed to cover all eventualities. And I now look foward to a return trip as I have got somewhat of a trekking bug as a result.

Excellent leadership and knowledge. Excellent weather-based decisions to adjust the walks so we didn't get caught in a storm.

It was all great; weather, accommodation, food, group leader. The highlight was getting to the summit of Mont Buet, but the other walks selected by our leader were all excellent and diverse.
