Tour de France Cols of Mont Blanc

Day 1: Rendezvous at the group's accommodation in Argentiere (near Chamonix). KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Beginning our "Grand" circumnavigation of Mont Blanc, we cross immediately into Switzerland, descend to Martigny and start the big climb to the Col du Grand St. Bernard (2158m), via the chocolate box village of Champex Lac. We enter Italy and make the long descent to Aosta. Ride distance 121 km with 3300m of ascent and 3900m of descent.
Day 3: We follow the Aosta Valley north towards Mont Blanc before turning west again for the steep 10km climb to the Colle San Carlo (1950m). Descending to La Thuile, we continue across the Petit St.Bernard (2200m) and descend into the Tarentaise Valley and our hotel in Bourg St-Maurice. Ride distance 91 km with 2407m of ascent and 2200m of descent.
Day 4: Its a 48km and 2000m climb (av 4.1%) through Val D'isere to the Col de L'Iseran (2770m), the highest pass on our tour. We descend to our Hotel in St.Michel de Maurienne and for those with energy to burn, there is the optional 12km climb (av 7.3%) to the Col du Telegraphe (1570m). Ride distance 120km.
Day 5: The Col de la Madeleine, linking Maurienne and Tarentaise Valleys, has become a famous climbs in the French Alps. We bike to La Chambre (471m), for the start of the 19km climb to the Madeleine (1933m) . After a fast 30km descent to Aigueblanche, the afternoon is a gentle climb back to Bourg St Maurice. Ride distance 130 km with 2400 metres of ascent and 2000 metres of descent.
Day 6: Continuing on the Route des Grandes Alpes, we cross the famous Cormet de Roseland and smaller Col du Pre before descending to Beaufort. We continue across the Col des Saissies (1662m) and the Col du Arvais (1536m) to our hotel in La Cluzaz. Ride distance 107 km with 2900m of ascent and 3150m of descent.
Day 7: Our final day's ride is perhaps the most enjoyable as we make several climbs and descents, before joining the Mont Blanc Cycle Route that take us through Chamonix and back to our accommodation in Argentiere. Ride distance 95 km with 2000m of ascent and 1800m of descent.
Day 8: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast.
