Around Mont Blanc - Road Bike
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group's accommodation in Argentiere (near Chamonix). KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Beginning our circumnavigation, we cross the Col de Montet into Switzerland and then the Col du Forclaz to Martigny, followed by a climb to Champex Lac and on to Bourg St-Pierre. Ride distance 74 km (46 miles) with 2400 metres of ascent and 2000 metres of descent.
Day 3: Crossing the Col du Grand St. Bernard we enter Italy by descending into the Aosta Valley and then climb the Col du St. Carlo and the Col du Petit St.Bernard to reach Bourg St-Maurice. Ride distance 124 km (78 miles) with 3000 metres of ascent and 3300 metres of descent.
Day 4: Continuing on the Route des Grandes Alpes, we cross the famous Cormet de Roseland and enjoy the spectacular views, before dropping down and then biking over the Col du Arvais to La Cluzaz. Ride distance 107 km (67 miles) with 2900 metres of ascent and 3150 metres of descent.
Day 5: Our final day's ride is perhaps the most enjoyable as we make several climbs and descents, before joining the Mont Blanc Cycle Route that take us through Chamonix and back to our accommodation in Argentiere. Ride distance 95 km (59 miles) with 2000 metres of ascent and 1800 metres of descent.
Day 6: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast.
