Day 1: Rendezvous at the group's accommodation in Argentiere (near Chamonix). KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Beginning our "Grand" circumnavigation of Mont Blanc, we cross immediately into Switzerland, descend to Martigny and start the big climb to the Col du Grand St. Bernard (2158m), via the chocolate box village of Champex Lac. We enter Italy and make the long descent to Aosta. Ride distance 121 km with 3300m of ascent and 3900m of descent.
Day 3: We follow the Aosta Valley north towards Mont Blanc before turning west again for the steep 10km climb to the Colle San Carlo (1950m). Descending to La Thuile, we continue across the Petit St.Bernard (2200m) and descend into the Tarentaise Valley and our hotel in Bourg St-Maurice. Ride distance 91 km with 2407m of ascent and 2200m of descent.
Day 4: Continuing on the Route des Grandes Alpes, we cross the famous Cormet de Roseland and smaller Col du Pre before descending to Beaufort. We continue across the Col des Saissies (1662m) and the Col du Arvais (1536m) to our hotel in La Cluzaz. Ride distance 107 km with 2900m of ascent and 3150m of descent.
Day 5: Leaving La Clusaz we climb the Col du Colombiere from Grand St.Bornand and descend to Nancy-sur-Cluses. Continuing to Samoens, our second big climb of the day is the legendary Col du Joux Plane (1700m). The scenery opens up with a stunning panorama of the Mont Blanc Massif before our descent to Morzine. We continue to our hotel in Abondance.
Day 6: A gentle climb to the Col de Morgins on the Swiss border and fast descent to Martigny. We embark on the last big climb of the trip, the 1000m to the Col du Forclaz. The final 20km back to our starting point in Argentiere needs to be savoured as you think back over the scenery, the cols and the effort made over the last days circumnavigating Mont Blanc. Celebratory dinner in Argentiere.
Day 7: Services end after Breakfast.
