This superb holiday in Morocco takes us from souks to the Sahara and from medinas to Morocco's mountains. Starting in colourful Casablanca this active discovery tour travels east by way of the excellent Roman ruins at Volubilis and the pretty Moorish city of Meknes to the minarets and souks of the ancient fascinating city of Fes. After crossing the lush and green Middle Atlas, we reach the rocky High Atlas, before stopping off to do some easy hiking. We then continue on to the edge of the Sahara Desert where we spend a night in a traditional fixed camp amongst the gigantic dunes at Erg Chebbi. Leaving the desert behind, we take a walk in the Todra Gorge before overnighting in the heart of the beautiful Dades Gorge. Next we traverse the palm-fringed Dades Valley to reach the fantastic 'filmset' kasbah at Ait Benhadou. A final, free day in the magical city of Marrakech is a fitting end to this brilliant adventure. Staying in comfortable accommodation and with a variety of relaxed walks throughout the tour, this is a wonderful introduction to a stunningly beautiful and welcoming country.
Is this holiday for you?

To enhance the experience on this discovery holiday we have included walks and walking tours on many of the days. These will include anything from an hour or two's exploration of a historic or cultural site, to a half-day walk on forest trails or easy mountain paths.
