The porters, cooks and support guys were lovely and fantastic. The food was really lovely and completely surpassed expectations. The pacing worked great for me - we eased into things before building up to a decent pace.
Summit day was probably a little tougher than I was expecting - but this was a good thing. However, the amount of stamina required and need to go at a decent pace on this day should not be under-estimated.
Hasan and Ben were both absolutely fantastic - what awesome guys! What an amazing holiday! It was an absolute priviledge to be in those mountains - an unforgettable experience

I always think its best to reserve judgement about a trip for a while after one returns, in case of "holiday fever". Now, a month after we set off for the Atlas mountains, its highly probable this is the best trip I have ever been on. Stunning scenery, great company, excellent leadership, fab food and no clouds. Tagine anyone? What more could you ask for?

This is a wonderful short trip and I thought it superior to Toubkal. Remote, good winter conditions and glorious ridge walking (we were lucky with the weather though).
The local agent was first rate, all the arrangements worked. Mustapha was an excellent local leader - personal/social and communication skills all of a high standard.

I picked this trip because I'd done the Toubkal trip 2 years ago & enjoyed it immensely. I didn't expect this trip to be better but it was. A great little trip & highly recommended for a short winter getaway. Felt like I'd been away far longer than just a week. Excellent!

It was a really, really excellent trip - harder than the Toubkal winter climb, but I was expecting it to be. The amazing scenery and views more than make up for the tough walking - it all helps take your mind of the fact that you've got several kilos of snow shoes / crampons / ice axe / tinned fish in your rucksack.
I thought the Winter Toubkal trip I went on in December was one of the best holidays I had been on, and Winter Mgoun is right up there with it, maybe even better.
Our guide, Mustapha, was fantastic - perfect mix of local knowledge / safe guiding / cracking sense of humour.

I enjoyed the fine ridge walk to the summit of Mgoun; the freshly baked cake that awaited us when we got back to the Tarkeddit refuge; the quantity and quality of the food throughout. The KE Leader, Tim, did a first class job of looking after the group and was very good company as well. Our guide Mustapha was very good as well.

I have nothing but praise for the local staff and particularly the cooks in the high huts who produced excellent food in very difficult conditions. Both Ben and Hassan were great trip leaders who kept spirits up and went the extra mile.
