Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group accommodation above the town of Niksic. A single timed group transfer is provided from Dubrovnik Airport to the group hotel. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Starting directly from our accommodation, we bike on rough tracks across high plains overlooked by the Moraca Mountains. Beyond Kapetanovo Lake, we drop down through the Moraca Canyon and then transfer to Kolasin and our hotel. Option from here to bike to the Crkvine Pass. Ride distance 42 km (26 miles), with 750 metres of ascent and 800 metres of descent.
Day 3: Still heading east, we cross the Bjelasica Mountains, climbing steadily to the highest pastures at around 1900 metres, with great views of high peaks. We then drop down via the remote village of Kurikuce to the town of Berane, where we stay overnight. Ride distance 55 km (34miles), with 1000 metres of ascent and 1400 metres of descent.
Day 4: Initially on gentle country roads, we climb up towards the border with Kosovo and the Mokra Planina or 'misty mountain'. Then, on shepherds' trails, we cross the high pasture and descend into the Lim Valley. Overnight in a hotel in Andrijevica. Ride distance 75 km (47 miles), with 1500 metres of ascent and 1300 metres of descent.
Day 5: Heading back up into the Bjelasica Mountains, we climb to the upland area of Lisa (1800m) and then follow good singletrack back down to Kolasin and our hotel. Ride distance 42 km (26 miles) with 1050 metres of ascent and 800 metres of descent.
Day 6: Up again via the Lipovo Valley into the world of shepherds and their flocks, we reach the plateau of Sinjajevinja, one of the most beautiful places in Montenegro. Then, it's down to Zabljak, the central town in the Durmitor National Park. Ride distance 75 km (47 miles) with 1200 metres of ascent and 400 metres of descent.
Day 7: Our final ride to a scenic high point in the national park is followed by a long downhill to the entrance of the Nevideo Canyon. From here, we transfer to Kotor beside the fjord of the same name and have the chance to check out this charming old town. Ride distance 27 km (17 miles) with 450 metres of ascent and 1000 metres of descent.
Day 8: KE Land Only services end with the early morning group transfer to Dubrovnik Airport.
