Morocco has an unimaginable wealth of colourful subjects for keen travel photographers and this week-long itinerary shows off the country at its best. You will be travelling in company with Julian Love, 2006 'TPOTY' Travel Photographer of the Year, who is a big fan of Morocco and will be able to point you and your lenses in the right direction. This is a wide-ranging tour, from the souks and minarets of Marrakech, to the stately camels and rolling sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. En route, you'll cross the Atlas Mountains, see the astounding mud-brick architecture of the Valley of the Kasbahs and experience sunset and sunrise at your Berber desert camp among the giant dunes of Erg Chegaga. Colourful handicrafts, smiling faces and a range of challenging landscapes combine to make this the photo trip of a lifetime. For even more variety, we can extend your holiday with a few days in the stunningly picturesque Atlantic port of Essaouira.

From the souks of Marrakech to the Sahara Desert, this photo workshop promises a week of tuition with a professional photographer - Julian Love. Downtown Marrakech is eminently accessible (on foot) from our central hotel accommodation and offers lots of opportunity for great photography. While visiting the south, in the desert and the green Draa Valley, we will make excursions by 4WD vehicle, on foot and even by camel to seek out the best photographic locations There are a couple of long days driving through an incredibly scenic landscape with several stops and visits along the way to shoot more exciting scenes. Although this is not a walking holiday per se, expect to spend long periods strolling around, with camera in hand, looking for the best shots.
