It was our first experience of a walking holiday and it was very positive. It was very easy to book and your office staff were very helpful.
We loved Madeira and the last day above the clouds was very special. Our experience of walking and socialising with the group was also positive as we all seemed to get on well. We have not laughed so much for years.
The trip fulfilled all our expectations.

Honario (our guide) has an amazing knowledge of the walks together with his ability to describe the fauna and geology of the area. He is also a great guy and made the trip so enjoyable.
As this was my first such trip I was not sure what to expect. However every detail of the holiday exceeded my expectations. I would have no hesitation in booking with KE again.

I would just like to say that we had a fantastic holiday walking in Maderia, it was a pleasure to book again with KE and we would certainly recommend this trip to anyone. We have nothing but praise for KE. However, we would like to say that the trip was made even more special by Victor our guide who quickly became one of us. He was supportive and helpful, nothing was too much for him. He was a fantastic ambassador for your company and his country, we only hoped he enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed his.

We were a large group of 15, therefore there were many different paces, but the leader managed us very well and kept us all together. He was also very knowledgable and was able to share this with us. He had an easy manner and his English was excellent. I most enjoyed the varied walks and scenery. The group dynamics and the information received from our guide.

Victor (our guide) was outstanding in every aspect of leadership. An excellent ambassador for KE at all times and the best possible representative Madeia could have! He really made this holiday such a memorable and wonderful time for us all. We greatly appreciated all his efforts and thank him sincerely.
I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday. It was my first adventure with KE and I will definately be looking forward to future trips and travel. I would recommend KE based on the excellent experience I have had.

Most enjoyed - Walking off the tourist track. The varied terrain, plants and flowers. Company of the other group members and leader. Insight into history and culture of Maderia.

Victor made this experience very easy and comfortable for me. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about his island and answered innumerable questions on a daily basis. Nothing was left to chance. As a trip leader he is superb.
I enjoyed being part of the group and the villages and small towns we stayed in were interesting. The Atlantic swell and rock pools in Paul do Mar were exhilirating.I particularly enjoyed the walks following the lavadas (without the steep descents!!!)

Madeira is magical, stunning, special. Its nature is unique and its people are warm and welcoming. This was one of the best holidays ever.
Stunning scenery, different every day. Fantastic support and care from the trip leader who was always willing to answer any questions and who kept us safe and interested. His knowledge and support made this trip an absolute success. I expected a great time and i got 10 times more.

From the moment we decided to book this trip until our departure KE's staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble.
The choice of hotel locations was superb; particularly Porto Moniz and Paul Do Mar. All hotels were clean, comfortable and offered a good choice of food; which was always fresh and plentiful. We were not sure what to expect in our packed lunches each day. We needn't have worried. Our guide told us that Madeiran people are gernerous with food; he wasn't wrong! A typical picnic each day consisted of our sandwich container being filled to busting point e.g. pasta, fish and salad. The carrier bag we were given also included a sandwich or roll, a piece of cake, a piece of fruit and a soft drink. It got to the point after 3 days when some of the group were asking for less in their picnic!!!
Our trip leader Roberto Filipe couldn't do enough to ensure that each member of the group was enjoying themselves. He quickly assessed the ability of the group members and ensured the pace was suitable for everyone. He was really attentive toward individual ability and was always offering advice and encouragement to ensure that everyone got the most out of each days walk. His knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious. He clearly loves his island and was very proud to show it off.
This was one of the best holidays we have ever had. Everything ran perfectly from start to finish. We didn't imagine that this small island could offer so much variety. It proves that getting away from typical tourist hotspots is often far more rewarding and enlightening!
