Nile Felucca Adventure
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Luxor. An airport transfer is provided (if arriving on the preferred group flight). KE Land Only package services begin with the overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: This morning we drive (3 and a half hours) to Aswan where we visit the dam and also the obelisk and Temple of Philae. After lunch we visit the souks before boarding the felucca and sailing to Elephant Island. Overnight on board.
Day 3: This morning we get off the boat and make a trek (2 - 3 hours) through the Nubian villages on the west bank. In the afternoon we continue our cruise on the Nile and spend a second night on the felucca.
Day 4: Again we have a morning of walking visiting the market at Daraw. After lunch we sail to Kom Ombo where we visit the temple dedicated to the Crocodile god and the Falcon god. Back on board we sail to Bachir. Overnight on felucca.
Day 5: Leaving the boat we have a 4 hour hike to a viewpoint at the Pharaoh's quarry at Selsila. After lunch we sail to El Fauza and spend our last night on the felucca.
Day 6: An hour's sail to Edfou. Visit Horus Temple, then drive to Luxor. In the afternoon we make a visit to Medinet Habou, the funeral temple of Ramses III. Overnight in the group hotel in Luxor.
Day 7: Today we visit Karnak and the Valley of the Kings etc. In the evening we will visit various temples in Luxor and there will be the option to attend the son et lumiere at Karnak. Overnight hotel.
Day 8: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. A complimentary group transfer is available timed to the check in for the preferred group flight.
