Northern Lights Snowshoe Safari

Day 1: Redezvous at the Abisko Mountain Station on Lake TorneTrask. A complimentary single timed group transfer from the airport in Kiruna will be provided. This evening at dinner we will meet our guide and have a presentation about the aurora and the coming days. Overnight Abisko Mountain Station. KE land only services begin with dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast we are issued with our snowshoes and head out to explore around Abisko. This is the perfect chance to get used to our new equipment. After lunch we board comfortable sleds and, pulled by snowmobiles, we head for 1.5hrs up to the cabins at Lake Alesjaure; our base for the next two nights. Tonight our aurora spotting begins. Overnight at the cabin. Approx 3 - 5hrs snowshoeing.
Day 3: Armed with a packed lunch we head out for a day of snowshoeing around beautiful Lake Alesjaure. With luck we will spot wolverine tracks today, if not the actual animal! The weather will help the guide decide the progamme. We return to the cabins in time for a traditional wood heated sauna before dinner and another night watching the skies. Overnight at our remote cabin. Approx 4-5 hrs snowshoeing.
Day 4: We have another morning exploring on our snowshoes and take lunch at the cabin before returning to Abisko by sled. The evening is free for us to relax, you may want to take the option of visiting the Aurora Sky Station. Overnight Abikso Mountain Station. Approx 2hrs snowshoeing.
Day 5: A day free for exciting optional activities. All activities begin at the Mountain Station. You may want to explore the area with a sled and a team of husky dogs, or try your hand at ice climbing or nordic skiing before returning to the Mountain Station in good time for your evening meal. Overnight Abisko Mountain Station.
Day 6: After breakfast there will be single timed transfer back to the airport at Kiruna. KE land only services end after breakfast.
