Traverse of the Jotunheimen of Norway

Day 1: Arrive into Oslo Airport in time to take the mid afternoon train to Otta. KE Land Only package services begin at Otta Railway Station with a minibus transfer to Gjendesheim in Jotunheimen. Overnight at the Gjendesheim Hut.
Day 2: Today, we hike the Besseggen route, arguably Norway's most famous mountain walk, following a narrow ridge between two lakes. Overnight at Memurubu.
Day 3: A long walk today. We start with a short boat ride along the lake to Gjendebu. From here we trek up alongside a river and into the Utladalen Valley, We cross over the Urdadalsbandet pass at 1663m. We then continue on to the Spiterstulen hut.
Day 4: Today we climb Galdhopiggen (2469m), the highest peak in Norway. A straightforward trek leads to the summit across some glaciated terrain.
Day 5: Today we have a full day on the Svellnosbrean Glacier. Named as the 'Fairytale Ice' due to the beautiful blue ice, shapes, tunnels and ice walls. With our crampons, ice axes and roped up with explore this enchanting world of ice. Return to the Spiterstulen hut.
Day 6: A spectacular walk through one of Norway's wildest valleys, leads to Leirvassbu. En route we have the chance to climb Kyrkja (The Church).
Day 7: We continue our trek beneath dramatic peaks to our excellent overnight accommodation at Skogadalsboen.
Day 8: Today we trek through the stunning valley of Utladalen, where we see Norway's highest waterfall. Overnight at the Avdalen refuge, a 30min climb above the Avdal waterfall.
Day 9: An early start as we walk out to the road. We catch the bus back to Oslo downtown where KE land only package services end. There is a connecting a train to Oslo Airport.
