Day 5: The best time for wildlife viewing is early morning and the best way to explore the Delta is to be poled along in a Moroko (a traditional dug-out canoe). The water gently laps against your canoe as you are provided with the perfect ringside seat to the Okavango show! We spend a second night in our wild camp.
Day 6: Departing from the Delta, today we go bush in the Moremi Game Reserve! Named after Chief Moremi, the game reserve was founded by the BaTawana people and is the first game reserve in Africa to be founded by an African tribe. From a comfortable tented lodge base, we will spend the next four days in Moremi searching for the big five!
Day 7: Depending on conditions, game drives today will be accompanied by your guide who will sharpen up your senses in search of wildlife. Moremi game reserve is well-known in Africa for it's variety of vegetation which contributes to the healthy wildlife population. Much of its success is owed to the co-operation between conservationists and the BaTawana people.
Day 9: Moving out of the Moremi Game Reserve, we return to Maun in our 4WD absorbing the last of this lush game reserve and prepare ourselves for a change of scenary!
Day 10: Before our departure this morning, there is the option to take a game flight over the Okavango Delta, which can be paid for locally.
