Itinerary
Day: 1
Arrive in Ushuaia. The world's southernmost city is located in Argentina's island province, on the border of the Beagle Channel, with the snow-peaked Martial Mountains spanning the horizon. We are met at the airport and transferred to our hotel. The evening is free for exploring the city and hopefully interacting with the locals who often have fascinating stories to tell. Overnight hotel.
Day: 2
Mount Pelado (850m) hike - Lookout over the skies of Ushuaia. Leaving the hotel at 8am we transfer for 30mins to the start of the walk at Andorra Valley. During our 3hr uphill hike we pass through forest and at the summit we have unrivalled 360 panorama views of mountains, valleys, the Beagle channel, and Ushuaia. After lunch at the top we descend and return to the hotel. 5hrs walking. (B,L)
Day: 3
At the western end of the park we walk on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastal path. Transferring to La Roca we sail over the Beagle Channel to Isla Redonda, which only recently opened its doors to tourism. We have lunch in an island hut, with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and the Magellan Cormorants. Afterwards we sail to Bahia Lapatia and transfer back to Ushuaia. (B,L)
Day: 4
This morning we'll sail through the Beagle Channel, reaching the famous Les Eclaireurs lighthouse and Isla de Lobos, before we drive to the airport... Adios Tierra del Fuego! KE extension package services end at the airport. (B)
