  • Patagonia - a landscape photographer`s dream
  • Photo-specific itinerary with a professional photo guide
  • Upgraded hotel and Eco-Camp accommodation
  • Hike to the best Paine and Fitz Roy viewpoints
  • Photographic highlights including Paine Towers and Perito Moreno

The very word Patagonia conjures up an image of wild landscapes, tumbling glaciers, clear blue lakes, amazing wildlife and some of the most photogenic mountains on Earth. Colin has been there before and is looking forward to revisiting some of the places that inspired him the last time. And, with a local photographer to guide the group, we are sure to get to all of the best locations at the right time of day. We start out beneath the stunning Torres del Paine, hiking in the Frances Valley and to the finest viewpoint for the central towers. Eco-Camp accommodation provides us with a comfortable home-away-from-home on this part of the trip. Transferring to Calafate in Argentina, we will continue our search for the perfect picture at the awe-inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier and at the Laguna de los Tres, situated beneath the magnificent El Chalten (the local name for Fitz Roy). The ‘Land of the Tempest' is one of the great photo destinations!

Is this holiday for you?

This photo special holiday has been designed to show off the incredible highlights of the Torres del Paine and Los Glaciares regions within a 2-week break. Importantly, there will be a local photographic guide to assist Colin Prior when it comes to finding the best perspectives at the best times of day. The trip does include optional elements of hiking to get to the best viewpoints and the toughest of these is on Day 6, when there will be an early start for the long return hike up into the rocky cirque beneath the central Paine towers. The trekking is on reasonable trails. We have graded the trip at our lowest level of MODERATE on account of the non-sustained nature of the walking and the low elevation. You will need to be in reasonable shape to comfortably complete all of the hikes during this holiday. Upgraded hotel accommodation and comfortable Eco-Dome accommodation in the Paine National Park, together with private transfers, add to the appeal of this photo adventure holiday.
