Royal Trek and Chitwan

- A 2-week holiday providing a perfect first taste of Nepal
- Views of Everest and the Annapurnas
- Route trekked by Prince Charles in 1981
- Wildlife spotting at Chitwan
- Colourful Kathmandu and peaceful Pokhara
This short holiday includes some of the best and most scenic hiking in the vicinity of Nepal's 2 main cities, Kathmandu and Pokhara. After sightseeing amongst the temples of the capital city and in nearby Bhaktapur, we head up to Nagarkot for a day-walk on the northern rim of the Kathmandu Valley, with superb views of an array of Himalayan peaks, including distant Mount Everest. We then transfer to the foothills of the Annapurnas and complete the scenically splendid 'Royal Trek' from Bijaypur to Begnastal, through villages, pretty farmland and shading forest to the north of Pokhara. Throughout this 4-day trek, there are wonderful views of the snow-capped summits of Manaslu, the Annapurnas and the distinctive 'Fishtail' peak of Machhapuchhare. After a night in a hotel beside Pokhara's Phewa Tal Lake, we finish off this great short holiday with a trip to Chitwan Jungle Lodge, for elephant riding and wildlife spotting. A superb introduction to Nepal!
