Royal Trek and Chitwan

Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Kathmandu. Complimentary airport transfers are provided. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Today we spend the day sightseeing in the colourful Nepali capital, Kathamandu. We will visit the famous Buddhist temples at Bodhnath and Swayambunath, and the Hindu temple at Pashupatinath. Overnight Kathmandu hotel.
Day 3: This morning we visit the fascinating restored medieval city of Bhaktapur with its exquisite Newari architecture. In the afternoon we drive up into the foothills to Nargakot. Overnight in a local guesthouse.
Day 4: An early wake up to watch the sunrise on the Himalaya. Nargakot is well known for its fantastic panorama of the Himalayan chain. From here we take a short trek along high ridges before returning to Kathmandu later in the day. Overnight hotel.
Day 5: The day starts with a spectacular flight along the Himalayan chain to Pokhara on Phewa Lake. After a short drive to the roadhead in the valley of the Kahun Khola, we begin our Royal Trek by hiking through farmland and forest to Kalika. We set up our camp at nearby Thulakot, at an elevation of approximately 1400 metres. 3 to 4 hours trekking.
Day 6: After breakfast we walk through several local Tamang villages and rhododendron forests (the blooms are best in the springtime), and enjoy views of the Annapurna Himal. We spend the night at our camp at Syaklung (1730m). Approximately 4 to 5 hours trekking.
Day 7: Today we walk through the village of Gurung, with its small market, and continue through rhododendron and pine forest. Halfway, there is an ascent of 400 metres and a 600 metre descent, before we arrive at Chisopani from where there are magnificent views of Dhaulagiri (8167m) to the west of the Annapurna range. We set up camp above the village (2200m). Approximately 4 to 5 hours trekking.
Day 8: It's downhill to start with today, to Rupa Tal, and then a short climb to arrive at Sundari Danda, where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we meet our transport and drive via the lake at Begnas Tal to Pokhara. After checking in at our hotel, we can enjoy the lakeside ambience. 3 hours trekking.
Day 9: Today we take the scenic drive to Chitwan National Park (4 to 5 hours). Chitwan is located in the lowland Terai part of Nepal and provides excellent opportunities for viewing rare species including sloth bear, bison, rhino, elephant, leopard and the elusive tiger. The afternoon is free for jungle activities. Overnight Hotel Chitwan.
Day 10: A full day for jungle exploration. Usually there is an early start for an elephant ride to see the early morning birdlife. We'll also take a canoe ride, and a nature walk looking out for animals and exotic birds. Overnight Hotel Chitwan.
Day 11: Today we return to Kathmandu through the undulating terrain of the Nepali foothills. Approximately 7 hours driving. If we make an early start, there will be time for free exploration in Kathmandu. Overnight at the group and we will go out to enjoy a celebratory dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 12: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. Complimentary airport transfers are provided.
