Summits of the Canadian Rockies
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Calgary in the afternoon. KE Land Only package services begins with overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Waterton Lakes National Park, with a stop at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump interpretive centre. Overnight camping in Waterton Lakes National Park.
Day 3: Hike from Cameron Lake to Carthew Pass (2360m / 7743ft), then descend via several scenic lakes back to Waterton.
Day 4: Trek up to the continental divide and turn south to reach the Akamina Ridge, before descending to the trailhead. Return to the camp at Waterton.
Day 5: Drive via Highwood Pass to Canmore and then hike from the Spray Valley to Ha Ling Peak. Overnight on a campground at Canmore.
Day 6: Hike up to the Centennial Ridge and Mount Allan (2820m / 9252ft). Descend via Bow Valley and return to the campground in Canmore.
Day 7: Drive to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, then hike in the Larch Valley up to Sentinel Pass and descend via Paradise Creek. Overnight at Lake Louise.
Day 8: Hike from Lake Louise to Saddle Pass and on a zigzags trail to the summit of Mount Fairview (2744m / 9003ft). Return to overnight at Lake Louise.
Day 9: Morning drive to the Yoho National Park, where we hike the Iceline Trail in the Presidents range. Return to the campground at Lake Louise.
Day 10: Hiking and scrambling from Bow Lake via Dolomite Pass to the top of Cirque Peak (2993m / 9820ft). Overnight in the Saskatchewan River Crossing area.
Day 11: Hike on Parker Ridge, then from the Icefield Center up to Wilcox Pass and Tangle Falls. Return to camp at Saskatchewan River Crossing.
Day 12: An easy day with short hikes along the Icefields Parkway. Overnight at a campground in Banff.
Day 13: Trek up to Cory Pass (2363m / 7753ft) and on to Gargoyle Valley. Then cross Edith Pass and descend. We then drive to Calgary and overnight at the group hotel.
Day 14: Breakfast (optional) on top of the 190 metre-high Calgary Tower (dependant on flight times). KE Land Only package services end.
