Notes

Mountaineering Boots: You need to take a pair of warm and reasonably substantial mountain boots that are sufficiently rigid to be securely fitted with crampons. The B2 (semi-rigid) boot rating is appropriate. Ideal boots for this trip are the Salomon SM Lite or the Scarpa Manta M4 Tech.

Crampons: Crampons with front points which work well with your chosen boots. These can be step-in, strap-on or a bit of both like Grivel's New Matic bindings.

Equipment hire: It is not possible to hire equipment through KE for this trip. Depending on availability, crampons, harnesses and ice axes can be provided by our ground agent. Please contact the KE office in good time if you wish to use this facility.
