School Adventure - Adventure in the Julian Alps
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: On arrival at Ljubljana Airport we meet our KE representative and make the short transfer to group hotel in Bled.
Day 2: Short drive to the Mencingarjev Hut in the Lower Bohinj Valley. Ascend from valley to ridge and trek via Crna Prst to the Zorko Jelincic Hut (1835m/6020ft)
Day 3: A superb day of ridge walking. We trek first to Rodica (6450ft) and then Mount Vogel (6306ft) before descending to overnight at the Razor Planina Hut (4265ft).
Day 4: Leaving the hut we ascend Vrh nad Skrbino (6739ft) on rocky trails before descending to the Dom na Komni Hut (5003ft), overlooking Lake Bohinj.
Day 5: Trek along the beautiful valley of the 'Triglav Lakes', past a series of 7 differently colored lakes, descending to Lake Bohinj and returning to our hotel in Bled.
Day 6: Mountain bike into the Karavanke Mountains, visiting the castle of Grad Kamen en route to Radovljica. Descend to the Sava River, then rafting in 10 man rafts to Posavec. Riverside BBQ and return to Bled.
Day 7: Educational visits to historic Skofja Loka and then on to Ljubljana for more sightseeing. Overnight in Ljubljana.
Day 8: Transfer to Ljubljana Airport for return flight home.
