I particularly enjoyed the walking in spite of the torrents of rain!I would remove the monastery from the itinerary as when we visited it we only saw junior monks. I don't think staying at the monastery would add as much value as I experienced when I stayed in very active monasteries in Burma.I had my birthday on the trip and it was great how Nuwan organized a birthday cake and the driver/assistant put baloons and a message to me in the bus. It was lovely, thank you to the team!I particularly liked the fact that we were given reusable boxes for our packed lunch. I'm wondering why plastic bottled water is used in the knuckles - wouldnt it be more environmentally friendly to use boiled water?
br/>HOTELS: All excellent except for the one that replaced the monastary and the remada at the end. On arrival the replacement hotel the bathroom was not clean and the room didnt have a lock on it - both were fixed promtly. The hotel would have been adequate if these issues had been fixed in advance and our expectations set correctly. I would rather use a local hotel instead of the remada on the last night as it is impersonal and the quality of service isnt up to that elsewhere - I suspect however you use this as it is close to the airport which means that people dont miss their flights.
br/>I've traveled with KE Adventure before and have been very happy with the experience. I traveled with KE in preference to other companies because I prefer the smaller groups, as they don't overwhelm the places we visit so much.
