This exceptional School Adventure provides a wide range of amazing activities in Oman ‘The Jewel of Arabia'. The trip starts in Muscat, the capital of Oman where you get to explore the amazing souq. We then travel into the heart of Oman where we get to do a breathtaking Via Ferrata above Snake Gorge. Next we explore the fortified former capital of Nizwa before heading into the Wahiba Sands desert. The second half of the trip is based at the coast. After a day of walking from the coastal village of Tiwi we transfer back to Muscat where we board a traditional dhow for an unforgettable night sleeping on deck underneath the stars. We spend the next two days kayaking in sheltered waters exploring different islands. With its year-round sunshine and welcoming people, Oman is the Middle East's best-kept secret.

This School Adventure consists of a range of adventurous activities in the beautiful country of Oman. We start in the modern capital of Muscat on the coast of the Arabian Sea. We then head inland to do a walk and via ferrata in Snake Gorge, all safety equipment and comprehensive briefings are provided. Next we explore the former capital of Nizwa before heading to the coast for a night on the beach. After a day of exploring small fishing villages and a wadi we board a traditional wooden Dhow. This is followed by a kayaking expedition around islands close to the Omani coast. We return to Muscat for our final night in this amazing country. School Group Adventures is given a grade, taking into account the amount of walking involved, the difficulty of the terrain, the remoteness, the altitude and the overall length of the trip. The trips are graded on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the most challenging. This trip is graded 4.
