Slovenia's spectacular Julian Alps provide the perfect setting for a variety of winter sports and this exciting new multi-activity holiday takes full advantage. From our base beside beautiful Lake Bled, we begin with an exploration of the best cross-country skiing trails on the forested plateau of Pokljuka. Then, we take the lift up to Krvavec for an introduction to snowshoeing and to spend the night in an igloo, complete with giant snow beds, mattresses, warm sleeping bags and even a sauna. Next on our list is an afternoon of ice climbing at Pericnik on a natural rock feature with artificially applied ice. After 2 more days of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, we enjoy an activity day in Kranjska Gora, where we will be able to take a husky sled ride and try our hand at tobogganing and snow bike riding. This holiday offers the complete winter experience, with specialist instructors and equipment for all activities provided.

During this multi-activity winter holiday participants will have the opportunity to try cross country skiing and snow shoeing on prepared trails, ice climbing in a safe and carefully graded environment, dog-sledding, and toboganning. It is not necessary to have previous experience in any of these activities and specialist instructors will be on hand for each activity. Accommodation throughout will be in a comfortable pension in Bled except for the special night which will be spent in an igloo. We have graded this trip on the first level of our MODERATE scale and it should be suitable for anyone looking for an active winter snow holiday.
