School Adventure - Sahara Adventure
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Marrakech where we are met by a KE representative. Comlimentary transfer to group hotel. KE group package services start with overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Group briefing and kit check. Walk into centre of Marrakech. Lunch. Sightseeing tour. Early evening in Djemaa el-Fna. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: After breakfast, we drive to Tamsahlte via the Draa Valley. We settle in at our camp and get to meet the camels and crew!
Day 4: We trek alongside the camels through a volcanic landscape, ascending a descending a couple of low passes. There are views of desert and mountains, and the chance to see rock art. Camp near Ait Ouazzik.
Day 5: Visit the kasbah of Ait Ouazzik, then trek through a gorge to Imi n'Ouarg. Camp near the village of Amred.
Day 6: Camel trekking through the heart of the desert, across the dunes of Barghou, to camp at Foum Tizza. Camp.
Day 7: Cross the mountain of Saredrar searching for fossils as we go. We are now truly in a Saharan landscape - surrounded by mountains and dunes. Fixed camp with showers at the foot of the mountain.
Day 8: Return drive to Marrakech via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, and check in to the group hotel. Rest of the day is free. Aother chance to visit the remarkable Djemaa el-Fna.
Day 9: KE group package services end after breakfast. Complimentary airport transfers are provided.
