A great trip. Most enjoyed - The spirit of the group: an interesting assortment of friendly people, including our enthusiastic guide Ibrahim; getting to know Ararat: beautiful trek to the two camps and great climb to the summit with stunning views in the sunrise; meeting local semi-nomadic people along the trek; the cultural visits, especially the fascinating, presumed, Noha's ark.
Our guide, Ibrahim was very enthusiastic and ready to answer any request. Also Yusuf Biltekin, our mountain guide, was excellent and set a very good pace during the whole trek/climb. They both did everything to help us when needed.

Really well organised, all accomodation was of excellent quality.
Still amazes me how these trips cater for large groups up a mountain with excellent food.
Ismet was a top quality leader. And Yousef was an excellent guide, felt very safe with him.

Sheriffe - was an outstanding leader. Excellent in every way. Climbing Mount Ararat the weather was perfect and we had the mountain to ourselves. Been on many KE adventures - never had a bad one yet.

I enjoyed every aspect of the trip. Appreciated the attention to detail displayed by KE. I especially enjoyed every moment on the mountain and all contact with the local culture. Although I knew in general what to expect, one of the unexpected bonuses of such a trip is meeting others within the group and sharing the experience. As in the past they were delightful, and thanks to KE's efforts I think this was felt to be a positive experience for all.

All of the hotels were excellent especially the hotel in Van. The tents were excellent, no problems at all. The local agent could not have done more to cater for our dietary needs. The food was excellent local cuisine. The local transport was first class and always on time. The support staff were exceedingly helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. They made us all feel very much at home. Ismet, our guide, made us feel very welcome and was very knowledgeable when escorting us on the town and city tours. She was very competent on the mountain as well as Yusuf who joined her on the mountain as the mountain guide. Her English was very good she was very attentive to her clients requirements and helped to make this a very enjoyable trip. This was an excellent mix of the culture and scenery of Turkey. We enjoyed every minute of the trek, even encountering unseasonable levels of snow extending down to the level of high camp. We shall be recommending this to our friends as an excellent introduction to Turkey with the advantage of climbing a 5000metre peak. We visited more places than expected. All of the drinking water was clean provided in large sealed bottles. The new KE walking pole was very useful for this trip.

Ismet our guide was very knowledgeable and very caring, the pace which was set by our other mountain guide; Yusuf, was perfect, there were enough breaks in which to keep ourselves hydrated and take pictures of the beautiful scenery. On summit, Ismet escorted one client back down to High Camp, and then made the knackering ascent for a second time to catch up with the rest of us - now that is true dedication! The food was great - even for a fussy eater such as me! Well Done and big thanks to Arif!
The local transport was always on time, the hotels were great (especially the one in Van!). Of course reaching the summit was the obvious highlight of the trip, but in terms of a fabulous finish, it had to be swimming in Lake Van, Turkey's biggest lake! So refreshing and beautiful.
All in all, a wonderful climb in a wonderful part of the world, made even more wonderful, by the wonderful guides!
Been on a few KE trips, never had a bad one, will be booking next year's trip very soon!
