The Ecrins Circuit Trek - GR54

Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Briancon. KE Land Only package services begin with the overnight in the group hotel. A group transfer from Turin Airport is provided in the late morning.
Day 2: Transfer to Les Combes and trek across the Col de Vallouise to Vallouise (2589m) and drop down into the valley of the same name, where we overnight in a gite.
Day 3: We have another short morning transfer to Entre les Aygues, then hike via the Col de l'Aup Martin (2761m) to the isolated Refuge du Pre-de-la-Chaumette, which cannot be accessed by vehicle.
Day 4: Today we hike across 3 cols, including the Col de Vallonpierre (2607m). Then, from Gioberney, we take the shuttle down the valley to La Chapelle-en-Valgaudemar, where we stay overnight in a gite.
Day 5: After another short transfer, we hike via the Souffles Refuge and across the Col de la Vaurze. Descending to Desert en Valjouffrey, we have a short drive to our gite accommodation in Valsenestre.
Day 6: We climb to the head of the Beranger stream, then steeply up to cross the Col de la Muzelle (2613m). It is then a long descent to Venosq and a short transfer to our gite at Besse-en-Oisans.
Day 7: Today, we hike up onto the north side of the Romanche Valley and traverse the Plateau d'Emparis to La Grave. Continuing our walk to Villar-d'Arene, we overnight in a gite.
Day 8: Crossing the Col d'Arsine to Le Casset, we complete the Tour of the Ectins Massif. From Le Casset we transfer back to Briancon and check in at the group hotel.
Day 9: The KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. A single early morning transfer to Turin Airport is provided.
This holiday involves going to moderately high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 2500 metres. Most people will have no difficulty with this level of altitude but before coming on the holiday, we recommend you read the advice on trekking at altitude.
