Thai High Adventure
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Bangkok. A single timed airport transfer is provided. The afternoon is free for independent sightseeing. KE Land Only package services begin with the overnight stay at the group hotel.
Day 2: A morning's guided sightseeing tour on foot and by ferry, including the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha and Wat Po. Afternoon free and then overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai.
Day 3: Arrive at Chiang Mai in the morning and transfer to the group hotel. Sightseeing in the old city and at Doi Suthep Temple. Evening visit to the bustling night market.
Day 4: Drive to Sanpatong. Arriving at an elephant camp, there is a short elephant ride into the Doi Inthanon Park, then a 4-hour hike to Kum Phui Village.
Day 5: Walk to Huihom Village. Then, after lunch, drive to Wachiarwut waterfall and onward to the highest point in Thailand at Doi Inthanon. Drive back to Chiang Mai.
Day 6: An interesting drive across country via Tak to Mae Sot (4 to 5 hours). Then, continue via the spectacular 'Sky Road' to Um Phang (4 hours). Overnight in a lodge.
Day 7: Easy rafting on Mae Kong River, passing waterfalls, cliffs and hot springs. Walk to Forestry Camp and make the return hike to Thi Lo Su waterfall. Camp.
Day 8: Today, we trek to Kotha Village and on to Palatha Village in time for lunch. We then meet our crew and enjoy 3 hours of fun whitewater rafting. Riverside camp.
Day 9: We raft for 2 hours to Thi Lor Lay waterfall, then hike through the jungle with our elephant support. We trek for around 3 hours, then set up a wild camp.
Day 10: Continue the hike to Sepala, where we meet our transport. After lunch, drive (1 hour) to Mae Sot and onwards to Phitsanlok (5 hours) where we stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 11: An early morning flight to Bangkok and transfer by bus and ferry to the island of Ko Samet where we check into a beach resort. The afternoon is free to enjoy the beach.
Day 12: A full day at the beach. There is the option to do some sea kayaking or to take an island hopping tour. Overnight in our beach bungalow.
Day 13: After a free morning at the beach, KE Land Only package services end with a single timed transfer to Bangkok Airport for homeward flight connections.
