The Classic Tour Du Mont Blanc

Day 1: Rendezvous at the group chalet in Argentiere in the Chamonix Valley. The guide will chat about the days ahead and check out your equipment. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: Leaving Argentiere, we take the cable car to Bellevue and walk to the Col de Tricot. We descend to the Chalet de Miage and continue on to Les Contamines where we spend the night.
Day 3: We follow the valley to the refuge at Le Balme and continue to the Col de Bonhomme (2469m). Traverse the Croix de Bonhomme before gentle descent to Les Chapieux.
Day 4: Our objective is the Col de la Seigne (2513m) on the Italian border. Easy descent into Val Veni where we catch a bus to Courmayeur. We stay tonight in a hotel in La Palud above Courmayeur.
Day 5: We climb to the Monte de la Saxe Ridge with views of Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses. Either descend to La Vachey and follow the valley or cross the col Deux Sauts to reach Arnuva. Hotel.
Day 6: We climb to the Col du Grand Ferret (2530m) for great views of the Grand Combin (4090m) and Mont Dolent (3823m). Entering Switzerland we descend to La Fouly.
Day 7: A gentle downhill walks through woodland and typically Swiss villages to Champex, the 'Chocolate Box Village'.
Day 8: Climb up to the Fenetre d'Arpette (2665m) pass. We enjoy spectacular views across the Trient Glacier from the pass before descending to the Col de Forclaz (1572m.) and on down to Trient (1300m) where we check into our hotel.
Day 9: Climb up through fine woodland to reach the Col de Balme. We cross the border back into France and descend from the Col de Balme to Argentiere.
Day 10: We walk to the Col des Montets and on towards the cliffs of Le Chesery and Lac Blanc, arguably the Chamonix Valley's best viewpoint. Descend to La Flegere and bus back to Argentiere.
Day 11: Returning to the end point of the previous day, we follow a superb trail to the Col du Brevent and the Brevent Summit. Descend to les Houches via Merlet. Transfer back to our chalet in Argentiere.
Day 12: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast.
This holiday involves going to moderately high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 2500 metres. Most people will have no difficulty with this level of altitude but before coming on the holiday, we recommend you read the advice on trekking at altitude.
