Toubkal Weekend - The Ultimate Morocco Short Break
Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Marrakech. Complimentary airport transfers are provided for clients arriving on this day. KE group package services begin with the evening meal. Hotel.
Day 2: Scenic drive to Imlil in the High Atlas where we begin our trek up to the Neltner Refuge (3207m/10,521ft) via the shrine at Sidi Chamharouch. We'll be accompanied by muleteers.
Day 3: A long day for the ascent of Jebel Toubkal (4167m/13,672ft). Following an early start our route zigzags upwards towards the summit. After time to enjoy the panoramic views we return to Imlil to meet our transport and drive back to Marrakech for our final dinner.
Day 4: KE group package services end after breakfast. Complimentary airport transfers are provided for clients departing on this day.
Altitude
This holiday involves going to high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 3500 metres. This is not something that you should worry about; the human body is quite capable of adapting to a very wide range of altitudes, but it is important that we follow some simple rules in order to acclimatise successfully. Before coming on this holiday you should read the advice on trekking at high altitude.
