A passport with at least 6 months remaining validity is required, together with a Single Entry Tajikistan Visa and a Single Entry Uzbekistan Visa (7-day recommended for UFT Ultimate Fann Mountain trek, 30 day recommended for MCA Mountains and Marvels of Central Asia).
UK Passport holders
For convenience, we recommend that you make your application through a visa-processing agency such as Travcour www.travcour.com. If you make it clear on your application that you are travelling with KE, you will obtain a £5 discount off the Travcour service charge. Visas can also be obtained direct from the Uzbek Embassy. As well as your passport, 2 passport photographs and 2 copies of application form, together with a letter of invitation (if required) from our local agent which we will supply.
(April 2014) Holders of passports of any of the following list of countries do not require a letter of invitation, unless they apply for an express service for their visa.

A 7-day Single Entry Uzbekistan Visa currently costs £43 and a 30 day single entry Uzbekistan visa costs £57. The Travcour service charge is £35 (with the KE discount) plus the return postage cost of around £7. Couples will only need to pay this postage charge once.
You can apply for your Uzbekistan visa 3 months before your date of travel. Processing of visa applications may take up to 10 working days

As well as your passport, photograph and application form, you will need to submit your trip itinerary, which is contained in your confirmation of booking, together with a letter of invitation from our local agent which we will supply.
Please be mindful of the time needed to complete the application process (which takes a minimum of 5 - 7 working days). You will then need to apply for a visa that covers your duration of stay. We recommend you apply for a tourist visa which costs £20 for up to 45 days (April 2014). The Travcour service charge is £35 (with the KE discount) plus the return postage cost of around £7. Couples will only need to pay this postage charge once.
If you need to use the express visa service for your Tajikistan visa, please inform us, as we will have to get your invitation letter approved by the foreign ministry in Tajikistan.
Important when asked your occupation on the application form, do not put anything that might arouse suspicion at the Uzbekistan/Tajikistan Consulate eg. photographer, writer, journalist, military, government, police etc.
Question 24 on the application form states. Who will pay for your trip (in case of need, consular officer may request prove of availability of funds, necessary to stay in the Republic of Tajikistan).
