Visa Information
A passport with at least 6 months remaining validity is required, together with a Single Entry (2-month recommended) Tajikistan Visa and a Single Entry Uzbekistan Visa (7-day recommended).
UK Passport holders
UZBEKISTAN VISA
You will need to apply for this visa first due to the time restrictions on the Tajikistan visa.
For convenience, we recommend that you make your application through a visa-processing agency such as Travcour www.travcour.com. If you make it clear on your application that you are travelling with KE, you will obtain a £5 discount off the Travcour service charge. Visas can also be obtained direct from the Uzbek Embassy. As well as your passport, photograph and application form, you will need to submit your trip itinerary, which is contained in your confirmation of booking, together with a letter of invitation from our local agent – which we will supply.
A 7-day Single Entry Uzbekistan Visa currently costs £43 and the Travcour service charge is £35 (with the KE discount) plus the return postage cost of £7. Couples will only need to pay this postage charge once.
TAJIKISTAN VISA
For convenience, we recommend that you make your application through a visa-processing agency such as Travcour www.travcour.com. If you make it clear on your application that you are travelling with KE, you will obtain a £5 discount off the Travcour service charge. Visas can also be obtained direct from the Tajik Embassy. As well as your passport, photograph and application form, you will need to submit your trip itinerary, which is contained in your confirmation of booking, together with a letter of invitation from our local agent – which we will supply.
Visas are valid from the date of issue and therefore you should not apply too early for your visa. Please be mindful of the time needed to complete the application process (which takes a minimum of 7 days). You will then need to apply for a visa that covers your duration of stay. To allow you to make your application approximately 3 weeks ahead of the departure date, we recommend that you apply for a 2 month single entry visa which costs £90.00. The Travcour service charge is £35 (with the KE discount) plus the return postage cost of £7. Couples will only need to pay this postage charge once.
Important – when asked your occupation on the application form, do not put anything that might arouse suspicion at the Uzbekistan/Tajikistan Consulate eg. photographer, writer, journalist, military, government, police etc.
Question 24 on the application form states. ‘Who will pay for your trip (in case of need, consular officer may request prove of availability of funds, necessary to stay in the Republic of Tajikistan)’.

Application can be made to the Tajik Embassy in your home country or via a visa processing service. Please consult the Embassy or visa processing service directly for visa fees and details of how to apply.
UZBEKISTAN VISA:
UK, USA, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Spain and Switzerland
Holders of passports of any of the above list of countries do not require a letter of invitation and can apply for their visas directly from the Uzbekistan Embassy or through a visa processing service.
KE will supply you with a copy of the invitation letter. You must let us know the contact details of your preferred visa processing service.
