The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum.

You must bring the following items:

Hiking boots

Training shoes / sneakers

Socks

Underwear

Trekking trousers / pants

Waterproof overtrousers / rain pants

Windproof / waterproof jacket

Long johns (thermal underwear)

Shorts

Thermal baselayer shirts (1 short sleeve, 1 long sleeve)

T-shirts and/or casual shirts

Fleece jacket or warm jumper

Warm fleece gloves or mittens

Sunhat

Warm hat

Eyewear - sunglasses

Small padlock to lock trek bag

Selection of dry bags (to keep trek bag contents dry)

Daypack 30 litres / 1800 cu in

Sun protection (including total bloc for lips, nose etc.)

Water bottles 1 litre / 1 quart (x2)

Washbag and toiletries

Antibacterial handwash

Basic First Aid Kit including: Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), painkillers, attitude (Diamox), plasters (band-aids) and blister treatment.

We request that you keep the weight of your main baggage to less than 15kgs for the baggage transfers.

The following items are optional:

Gaiters

Head torch / flashlight with spare batteries

Spare laces

Sheet sleeping bag (may be used on Day 3)

Trekking poles

Insect repellant

Camera, media, spare batteries

Travel clothes
