Lovely gentle coastal exploration
Self-Guided Walking on Brittany's South Coast
This was a lovely 3 days of gentle walking, pottering & exploring the coast of the Golfe du Morbihan. The walks, as provided, were lovely, although the exact schedule has to be adapted to fit in with the tide times. Make sure you take your bathers & a small towel etc as you walk past lots of lovely beaches. There's an excellent boulangerie & small epicerie (though a bit pricey) in Larmor Baden so stock up before you set up, although there are plenty of oyster restaurants along the co ast, and cafes if you venture across to any of the inhabited islands. The guided tour of Gavrinis was a highlight. The hotel is lovely - excellent food, nice location and really lovely, friendly staff. We only had two concerns. There is a set menu every day and if you are vegetarian, you might not want filet mignon. I did ask the hotel manager in the morning if there could be an alternative, but he forgot to pass that on to the kitchen. I don't think vegetarianism is quite on the menu in French cuisine yet. Second, we were 2 friends travelling and asked for a twin room. We got twin beds, but the room was so small they were pushed right up against each other, as if we were in a double. I would have appreciated a larger room, or the option from KE or Karouann of upgrading in some way. There was a mix up on Day 3 of our itinerary - the notes say to walk to Port Blanc and get a 5 min ferry across to Ile aux Moines, whereas we had been provided with a voucher for a 2.5 hour cruise of the Golfe du Morbihan, at a set time, which we nearly missed because we set out to walk the 9kms to Port Blanc. Fortunately we had hired a car, to extend our holiday, and we were able to drive there in time to get our cruise, which was wonderful. There is only one other restaurant in Larmor Baden, and a small bar, so not packed with cafes etc. The food in the hotel is so good that it is well worth eating there, but their restaurant is closed on Weds and Fridays, so you can either get a picnic and go down to the beach/picnic site on the coast, or eat in a restaurant. We were there in mid June and needed to book as all nearby restaurants were so busy. The galeterie in Baden is excellent. I loved this holiday, but we extended by 5 nights, hired a car in Vannes airport, and then were able to explore the region a bit. Without a car you cannot get to Carnac or any of the other local sites. There are a lot of lovely medieval towns (Auray, Vannes, Le Bono) tucked away on hidden estuaries to explore, plus the Quiberon peninsula and you can't get to them without a car. For me, the star was the Golfe du Morbihan. We walked around it, explored it by boat, visited some of its islands and then the highlights were driving down to the tip of the two peninsulas which enclose it - the peninsula on the west - past Loqmariquel - and then over to the Presque'il de Ruys, to Port Navalo, the peninsula on the east, to see the whole Golfe from yet another. perspective. As we live in the north of England, it felt like quite a long - 12 hour journey, with 2 flights & a 2 hour drive - to get to Larmor Baden, so I'm not sure I would do it just for the 3 days walking/boating, without an add-on. If you live in southern England it is more accessible. Still, a fabulous holiday. Thank you KE Adventures

Beyond any expectations!
Walking the Albanian Alps
Albania is so beautiful country! - mountains, wild flower meadows, waterfalls, gorges, rivers, "fjords" like cruise on the lake, fresh tasty food, friendly people and it is very safe for tourists. Hikes are tough due to hot weather and very stony uneven paths but they worth the effort. I would recommend reasonable hiking experience for this trip, it was not just a long walk by any means but steep assents and descents (1,000m+ each way). Guesthouses are hostels and we had 6 women per room but no bunk beds, no mixed genders and additional toilets were available. Hotels for the 1st night and the last night were superb.

Stunning trek through the Andes
The Inca Trail and Beyond

You have never let us down. The accomodation is always good and the guides are excellent. German was just an all round great guy. Very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. He was extremely concerned with the welfare of all his staff and all in all was a fantastic addition to our trip. We are still in touch and that clearly shows that he cares about his clients.

A fascinating place with great scenery
Walking the Albanian Alps
The mountains were stunning and the scenery glorious with lovely views on every walk. The flower meadows were particularly impressive with everything from daisies to orchids, as well as butterflies and other assorted bugs. While not crowded, there were a number of groups following the same route so the paths were busy in places. The walks provide a good challenge and you do need to be fit but are not too demanding for anyone who is used to walking in the hills. The trails were generally good but we had some very hot days which made the walking a bit tougher, though enterprising Albanians have set up cafes on the popular trails where you can get very welcome cold drinks. The guest houses were clean and well run. As was made clear in the trip notes, in a couple of places we were in a six bed dormitory which was fine if a bit crowded. The food was lovely, excellent evening meals but there is no choice so fussy eaters will struggle. There are also very few places to buy snacks so best to bring your own with you. Our guide was excellent and very patient with the more demanding members of the group. Overall, Albania is a really interesting place which is developing fast and well worth visiting.

Excellent wildlife experience with entertaining activities and relaxation.
Galapagos Islands Adventure
This is a trip to get up close to fantastic wildlife while remaining fairly active. Not for the sports mad adventurer but the average active traveller. Hiking and biking mildly disappointing (poorly maintained scruffy bikes) although the caldera is impressive and the vermilion flycatcher there to see. Lack of guide and safety support on the kayaking trip was surprising but the sit on top kayaks were very stable. Boat rides between the islands 2.5 hours (take the pills). Anything I may have said that appears negative is blown away by the wildlife. It was all there. Tortoises, boobies, iguanas, turtles, reef sharks, sea lions and even penguins. 5 minutes snorkeling and the sea lion came to say hello. You may know to stay 2mtrs away but none of the animals do. Floreana is the highlight but some of the little flying critters bite say take some strong bug spray. Brilliant trip!!!

New Zealand
Walking New Zealand - North to South Island Explorer
The whole process from making and enquiry, to booking and making amendments was always dealt with in a professional manner. All the staff that I dealt with were extremely helpful, very professional and were also excited for me for my upcoming trip. This being my first solo adventure holiday was incredible from start to finish, there was nothing that I could complain about, apart from having to leave such an incredible location. Both Sean and Steve were so enthusiastic about their country. Their wealth and breadth of information about all areas was incredible and I feel very fortunate to have had them as guides. They are both a huge asset to the organisation and nothing was too much trouble for them. Their consideration, enthusiasm and adaptability have encouraged me to want to take more trips with KE, they made my trip a truly memorable one. A huge thanks to them both.

The best time!
Walking in the Balkan Borderlands
Absolutely had the best time! The scenery, people in our group were fantastic and our guide nitty.. (Albanian) was superb he made the trip! What a guy!! This tour leader made our holiday. He did everything for everyone.. moved everyone’s luggage, sorting out all dietary requirements and making sure everyone was content and clear about what was being done each briefing was wonderful and he made us all feel part of the group!! We were all upset to leave!! This guy is not only knowledgeable about the Albanian mountains, his passion is contagious he made us feel at ease, explained cultures and the sense of pride this man has towards his job/country .. he wants to excel and become higher in his job.. well he certainly should as he was exceptional… these memories will last forever and we have to say “This was our best holiday we’ve had”.

Tuscany
Walking Wild Tuscany
We have had two holidays with KE this year. Both were well run, efficient and great fun. We were so well looked after by Jamie and Ailsa. They both worked so hard to provide us with a wonderful holiday. The surroundings were magical. Accommodation was very clean and perfect for our type of holiday. The food was exceptional and couldn't be faulted. A big thank you to them both. Daniele was such a good guide. We felt very safe with him, which is probably the most important thing. At the same time he made our holiday such fun, very exciting and he seemed to be enjoying himself immensely.

Excellent
Walking Wild Tuscany

I have been on two KE holidays and both have been excellent. The accommodation was amazing and the food out of this world. So much better than staying in a hotel. Our hosts were so accommodating and knowledgable and the walks were great. They were flexible and took the ability of our group into consideration together with the changing weather conditions. I cannot fault the trip.

A well-organized walk to experience the best of Crete & its coasts
Walking the White Mountains of Crete
Walking in a land where the combined population of sheep and goats exceeds the Greece’s means that rocks, big and small, are every step of the way. It can be a challenge to walk the White Mountains made of rocks, and this is also the attractions are. Fine-tuned over the years, this trip was well organized and our guide, who designed the literary, loved the White Mountains so much that he adopted Greece as his home country. He put his love of Crete to guiding, and showed us the best of the Whit e Mountains, the island coastline, the local culture, and Greek/Mediterranean food. While a 1,000m ascent to Gingilos' summit on the first day of walk can be hard, doing it on a later day may still remain a challenge as novelty fades out and fatigue sets in. Besides, making the logistics work can add quite a lot to the price without sufficient benefits.

An experience never to be forgotten
Walking New Zealand - North to South Island Explorer
This was my first ever solo trip and what an experience!! A huge thanks to all involved that made it happen. There is a lot of travelling along the islands but our guides Sean and Steve ensured that sufficient breaks were taken and their breadth of knowledge about the flora, fauna and culture was amazing. Food, accommodation, especially the Eco Lodge and the locals were amazing. A wonderfully varied trip, that was made truly memorable by my fellow travellers, a huge thanks to them. To sum up, if you are thinking about taking part in this trip, do it, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing Experience !
Ultimate Toubkal Weekend
I will start by saying a massive thank you for KE Adventure for a fantastically organised and well run trip. This was our first time doing a holiday of this kind and it by far exceeded our expectations, in terms of all the different things we saw and experienced , how well the trip was run ( Everything ran like clockwork), the walk itself was challenging but doable the views were spectacular and the photos don’t do it justice it was stunning. Morocco is so culturally rich and the people are so welcoming. We can’t wait for our next trip and will definitely use KE again off the back of this experience.

Great trek and cultural experience
One Week Mount Toubkal Trek
The trek to Toubkal, even the modified version our group did because of snow on the passes, is beautiful going through small villages and passes with wide sweeping views. The last day is the hardest with the most mileage and a noticeable downhill but all so worth the summiting! Our guide, Mohammed, gave a good pace to the group mindful of the different hiking skills of the participants, and he was also always available to answer questions about the local culture and customs. The support for g ear and meal preparation was well above what I expected could be done on the road with fresh bread and fruits/salads at every meal. Our group get along very well and everybody felt very comfortable with each other. I rented my sleeping bag and used the provided pad: both were very good and appropriate for temps and confort. There were some awkward moments at the end regarding tips - on this site it appears that the division of tips is between support staff (for whom an estimate tip is given) and the head guide (for whom no estimate is given). In our case it appeared there was also a division between the main kitchen person and the other support staff meaning that our group needed to do an additional collection after being alerted of the issue. Ideally this site should be updated with the most current tips rules & estimates, otherwise it's best for the group to clarify with the main guide to avoid awkwardness later.

Madeira
Levada Trails and Peaks of Madeira
Excellent communication with K E Adventure who efficiently booked additional hotel stays with transfers and provided a professional and experienced guide. Efficient staff. Our guide Jorge competently managed the challenges presented by the adverse weather conditions. Jorge was in regular contact with the office to ensure our paths were open and safe to use. Although we were disappointed to miss the first days walk we were able to enjoy the rest of the holiday. Jorge clearly has a high level of c ompetence and experience to lead walking groups. He shared his knowledge of the geology, nature and history together with its local culture which added to our enjoyment. We enjoyed his company at the evening meals where he always remained professional but friendly at all times.

Croatian Island Hopping Family Holiday

Very well organised. Local support (Vlad) was amazing. Great pre-trip support. Vlad was amazing!!! He was able to interact with my the children, struck the balance between being involved and giving us space. As a single mum with three kids, Vlad was a great support.

Seamless
Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon

From start to finish the holiday was seamless in it’s organisation. The office staff were superb on every occasion I contacted them. A very enjoyable experience. The guide Raj and the sherpa team were excellent. Raj is the best guide anyone could expect for such a trip. Always had the best interests of his clients at heart. And a really lovely person.
