Reunion Island Holidays

A holiday in Reunion Island is an invitation to discover a paradise where rough, volcanic terrain meets panoramic views and hidden waterfalls. Eight hundred kilometres east of Madagascar, the French overseas department of Reunion Island is a destination - par excellence!

The far-flung Island, with its intriguing mix of African, French, Indian and Chinese cultures, rises to over 3,000m and its rugged interior boasts a network of walking trails which would not look out of place in Nepal. Three vast eroded cirques, Salazie, Mafate and Cilaos, dominate the centre of Reunion Island and provide the backdrop for this incredible holiday destination. Whether it's marvelling at the sun-kissed shores or trekking through the heart of the island's natural wonders, a holiday in Reunion Island promises an unforgettable fusion of adventure, relaxation and cultural immersion.

Five Reasons to go on a Reunion Island Holiday

Summit the Island’s Highest Peak

Conquer the giant Piton des Neiges, standing at an impressive elevation of 3,070 meters. This remarkable peak is not only the highest point on Reunion Island but also ranks among the world's most active volcanoes, offering trekkers an unforgettable adventure amidst its captivating volcanic landscapes. Standing atop Piton des Nieges and looking out to the stunning panoramic views is a key highlight of any Reunion Island holiday

Stunning beaches

Reunion Island is a tropical paradise boasting an array of stunning beaches that span thirty kilometres along its picturesque coastline. These beaches are a blend of white and black sands, with a significant portion encompassing twenty-two kilometres of serene lagoons sheltered by vibrant coral reefs. Whether you seek a Reunion Island walking holiday along the island’s shores or underwater adventures exploring the vibrant marine life, Reunion Island's beaches offer an idyllic escape for every traveller.

Wondrful Wildlife

A Reunion Island holiday is perfect wildlife enthusiasts, offering a diverse range of animal species to discover. In its pristine marine environment, you can encounter magnificent creatures like turtles, whales, and playful dolphins, making it a paradise for ocean lovers. On land, the island is home to a variety of reptiles, from majestic land turtles to the elusive green geckos and numerous lizard species. Sensational Food

Reunion Island's cuisine is a true culinary delight, offering a delectable fusion of flavours influenced by Indian, Chinese, African, and European culinary traditions. When dining on the island, you'll find a long list of local delicacies that are a must-try. From aromatic curries to savoury stir-fries, flavourful seafood dishes to irresistible pastries, Reunion Island's food scene is a gastronomic adventure.
