A fantastic adventure!

What a truly brilliant week! The itinerary is very well thought out, with varied scenery and terrain (including some scrambling on a couple of the days) - two mountain summits, two gorge walks, and a coastal walk. Our guide Alice was brilliant - helpful, friendly, and she took the time to teach me some Greek, so thank you, Alice. We had the best group, very sociable, and all very good walkers (more time for beers and a swim at the end of the day!). Food was amazing, fresh, colourful and plentiful – and if you’re vegetarian or vegan (like me) you will eat very well on this holiday. This walking holiday has it all, sunshine, scenery, variety, great food, beers, and swimming opportunities. The whole week was fantastico! I can't recommend this trip enough. Top tip, stay an extra night or two in Chania at the end, it’s worth it.

Fantastic week's walking, with a first-class guide

Crete exceeded all expectations and the mountain walking was brilliant. The whole trip was made very special due to the competence, knowledgeability and sense of humour of our guide throughout the trip, Alice. She smoothed any minor issues, using her charm, good Greek and existing relationships with many of the taverna and resaurant owners... I was maybe concerned that Crete might have lost some of its charm - but it really is as fantastic as it was 40 years ago.

Beautiful and tranquil

Who knew Greece was so green? This was a wonderful week’s walk, with so many unexpected elements - the highlight was the sheer number and size of the high meadows full of wild flowers. Plenty of woodland walks and gorgeous open views. The villages we stayed in along the way were all charming, the hotels were comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the local people were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
