Summit the two highest mountains in Africa on this ultimate trekking trip and get to see sunrise in both Tanzania and Kenya. Enjoy increased Kilimanjaro summit success through acclimatisation on Mt Kenya on thus absolutely classic adventure holiday. We begin our 2-week holiday on Mount Kenya, where we trek the superb 6-day traverse of Kenya's highest mountain via the Chogoria and Sirimon routes. We will encounter few other trekkers on this beautiful and much under-rated peak. Travelling overland to Tanzania through the African plains and wildlife spotting, we start our Kilimanjaro climb by way of the Machame Route. This path leads through luxuriant rainforest and then across the alpine tundra of the Shira plateau with its giant lobelia, to the glaciated crater rim of Africa's highest peak. We just can't wait to see our travellers back on the roof of Africa!

If you want to conquer the peaks, then head to the highest point in northern Africa and climb Mount Toubkal – a challenge you can achieve trekking in the High Atlas region of Morocco in August, or as the perfect intro to mountaineering adventure in the winter. Beyond this, you’ll find the beginnings of the world’s largest desert, where you can trek along the edge and camp amongst sand dunes on an adventure into the Sahara. Whether it’s walking along the undiscovered Atlantic Coast to the port of Essaouira, or hiking in the rocky desert world of the Jebel Sahro, Morocco will never fail to offer travellers a dazzling combination of rich culture and far-flung adventure.
